We provide lines and bait at no extra charge. Game fishing it is not,
but it is a lot of fun even for the inexperienced! Daily feed time is quite spectacular!

Take an easy stroll through shady mango orchards during the season and handpick yourself some tree-ripened Bowen mangoes. Take a peek at our Photo Gallery and you will see pics of some of the bird and wildlife that you may encounter as you wander.

Picnic at Amamoor Creek State Forest Park, the rainforest area of Cedar Grove or Amama Park, where you may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the platypus at play. Stroll along bushwalking tracks with sub-tropical vegetation and waterfalls. Take a leisurely drive along the Mary Valley Scenic Way and notice the diverse grazing and agricultural activities that abound, including pineapples, macadamias, mangoes, citrus, avocados and small crops.

Gympie Country Music Muster held in August each year in the Amamoor State Forest, a short drive from Amamoor Homestead.

Drive from Amamoor through the quaint little town of Dagun and visit the Amamoor Lookout where you will be treated to spectacular views of the local countryside and The Mary Valley, www.maryvalley.com.au

Play golf at the Gympie Golf Club or the Mary Vally Koolewong Par 3.

Kayaking and bike riding excursions are available with Ian at the Ride on Mary group, www.imbilkayakandbike.com.

Visit Tin Can Bay and feed the dolphins or take a Dolphin Ferry Cruise to enjoy a great environmental experience and relax on the water. Stop off at Rainbow Beach en route and see the coloured sands, take a horseback ride along the beach or relax and throw in a fishing line! Borumba Fishing n Outdoors is also a very good option for fishing.

The local waterfall is just minutes up the road. 2km walk to Amama Falls.
